The location was great: a ~5 minute walk southward to the nearest subway station (Kujo) as well as northward to Kyoto's main station, with multiple restaurants and convenience stores even nearer by. Check-in was quick and we got an extra keycard to keep in the room for keeping the AC on a timer. Basic amenities (cottons, toothbrushes, bath towels, etc.) were available free of charge in the lobby. The room we booked was rather small but more than fairly sized for the low price point, and the layout made it so that the room didn't feel cramped at all, even while packing two quite large suitcases. The size of the bathroom was slightly 'sacrificed' to allow for a larger bedroom, and there were no redundant items or props taking up space unnecessarily. The rather small bathroom is the only thing keeping me from rating the hotel a 10/10, but I honestly don't know if it could be any larger while retaining a decent profit margin for the hotel itself. The room was also super clean. We honestly thought the hotel must have been built very, very recently judging from the fresh look of everything, but we found reviews from up to 5 years ago, so it has existed at least since then. Cleaners must be doing a great job. Some more brief positives: comfy nightwear free of charge; daily cleaning; free tea and water every day; a small fridge; a hairdryer; proper bath and shower; a rim for coat hangers lining the wall without taking up space. All in all, just great quality for the price you pay.

When you come across such a fantastic accommodation, you almost want to keep this nugget of information to yourself greedily. That's how I felt after staying 6 nights at the hotel. Budget friendly, great amenities, friendly staff, clean and close to transportation hubs make this a super star accommodation. If you have a bit more to splurge, go for the executive twins for the massage chair. This is a no brainer after the end of each day when you would have walked 10k steps at least to massage your pain and aches away. Water pressure is fantastic👌. If I'm coming back to Kyoto again I know what I'll be booking again. I just hope that my honest review here won't deprive me of the chance in the future!

It was a lovely hotel, we chose the most affordable room which whilst small was plenty big enough for our base. It was clean, all of the staff were always lovely but the cleaners especially. Water bottles replenished in the room every day, towels changed and bins emptied. Sheets were changed every 3 days, which is a very eco-conscious option and suited us well. The best thing was the location, 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Station and the Karasuma line which made it easy to get to downtown Kyoto, as well as out towards Arashiyama, Nara and Fushimi Inari Shrine. When we fancied walking we chose to walk along the river which we loved.

Very friendly and helpful staff who greeted you as you entered & left the hotel which is lovely as most hotels do not do that, certainly not in Europe anyways. Great location, less than a 5 minute walk to Kyoto station. Very clean & well equipped room. The room is basic and small which is exactly as described during the booking process. My room was facing the street so I could hear traffic, I did not mention this to the hotel staff, but again I imagine that if I did they would have tried to change my room. I could also hear other guests, which was disturbing at times, so definitely not soundproof.

Staff was helpful. As there was not enough room space for us to put in our stroller and luggage, the staff accommodate us with a storage room. Room size shouldnt be an issue if Im travelling on my own without the children (Haha!) Nice and comfy bed Location was great. Walking distance to Kyoto station and it's easy to find the hotel. Nearby, there was Family mart and coin laundry shop. We used the one in the hotel (there's 2 washing machine and 2 dryer). They have umbrellas at the entrance that you can borrow and return later. Just nice, for this raining season
